About the College
Welcome to Government Degree College Gosaikheda
The Government College, Gosaikheda was established as a model college by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in collaboration with the Government of India under the RUSA (Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan) scheme. The college aims to provide accessible and quality higher education to students from unserved and underserved rural areas of district Unnao.
The college is located at the village Gosaikheda of Purwa Tehsil, near Gramin Nagar Stadium. It is situated approximately 12 km east of Bhalla Farms, Nawabganj on the Lucknow–Kanpur Highway (NH-25) towards Kalukheda Road. The nearest railway station is Ajgain, Unnao.
Spread over 1.265 hectares, the college has three major building complexes comprising the administrative-cum- academic building, boys' hostel and girls' hostel. The college is affiliated to Chhatrapati Sahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur and offers undergraduate education in the faculties of Arts, Science and Commerce.
Classes for the first batch commenced in July 2017. The institution continues to develop with a commitment towards academic excellence and holistic student development through co-curricular activities such as NCC, Rovers/Rangers, NSS, Games, Yoga and computer-based skill development programmes.
