The Department of Psychology, established in the academic session 2021–22, is committed to promoting quality education, scientific temperament, and mental well-being among students. With the introduction of the NEP curriculum in the same year, the department began offering Psychology as a major subject in B.A. First Year. Under the guidance of Dr. Kirti Madnani, the Psychology Council was formed to encourage academic and co-curricular engagement among students.

In March 2022, a well-equipped Psychology Laboratory was established, furnished with standardized instruments, test materials, and assessment tools. Regular practical classes, demonstrations, and psychological testing sessions are conducted, along with internal and external practical examinations.

Since its inception, the department has actively organized academic and student-centric activities. The first symposium in 2021–22 featured student presentations and a poster competition showcasing creative interpretations of psychological concepts. An essay competition was also held to enhance critical and analytical thinking.

Since 2021–22, every year the department celebrates World Mental Health Day, World Suicide Prevention Day through different activities like seminars, awareness activities, and inter-disciplinary competitions. Poster, Slogan and essay contests are organized that attracts enthusiastic participation from students of all streams. Field Visit, Survey and assessments are some other featured activities organized by the department.

In the year 2024 department has also received a research Project funded by Higher Education Institution Uttar Pradesh. Dr. Kirti Madnani is the Principal Investigator of this project.

The department continues to work towards nurturing emotionally strong, intellectually aware, and socially responsible individuals through academic rigor and holistic development.
